Yesterday, I shared the first fall fashion post of the week. I shared Belk‘s 4 style statements: my fair lady, town and country, mod modern, and vivid! Make sure you read the post for a glimpse into each of these style statements.
Today, I am interpreting one of these style statements: my fair lady.
Now, you may remember that my fair lady is ultra feminine, and when I think feminine, I think lace. I have a pretty feminine style, so I thought, no problem!
Then, I put this together:
Now, there is nothing wrong with this look. It has a lot of beautiful pieces, including the ivory lace top paired with a feminine pale pink layer underneath. I even added a dark gray ponte knit skirt on bottom. And I chose pearl accessories and a gold closed-toe pump.
Perfect, right?
Except…
It looks an awful lot like spring.
Doh!
So I tried again.
I hate it when this happens. But the result?
The result makes me very happy! Hello, my fair lady!
Come back tomorrow for another interpretation of 1 of 4 style statements from Belk! In the meantime, visit Belk to add a touch of fall style to your closet!
How would you interpret the my fair lady style statement?

I love both your outfits!! I need to break out the winter lace – that is such a good idea. And the tights! I have no idea where I put mine and it was freezing this morning!!
this weather is a little crazy, right? I assume you are probably experiencing similar temps to us. I actually wore a jacket during my commute today!
oh i love it! you nailed the look, heather!!
thanks, Molly!
it was fun to interpret this style.
Oooh I love it! I have a gray lace top and I’m not really sure how to wear it. It’s a little bit looser though (it’s like an XL, but I got it in a clothing swap, so it was “free”)
Oh fun! Can’t beat free! Layer and belt it. That’s my theory anyway! Add a cardi and a belt, and you might not notice it being so loose.
