Outfit of the Day: Going Neutral

Ever have those days when, instead of being drawn to bright colors or fun patterns, you find yourself in an all neutral palette? I do. Here’s a recent outfit I threw on to run errands.

I love this khaki blouse from the Nine West Vintage America Collection. Paired with brown leggings and black booties, the look is classic and super comfy.

Have you rocked the neutrals lately?

  1. Super cute! I keep looking for longer shirts to go with leggings or tights, but my super short torso is troubling. Any tips, friend? Also…I’m on a student loan budget, so…the cheaper the better.

    • Don’t limit yourself to long tops. Instead, also consider short casual dresses that can easily be layered with leggings for a similar look. You could also use a regular length top with a skirt over your leggings if you have a hard time finding the right fit for your torso. If you are worried about your waist getting lost under a long shirt, you could add a belt or try a long top under a regular fitting jacket. The best tip is probably just to take a day, go to a store with a lot of options, and try on several different styles to figure out what works best. Then, if the prices aren’t right, you can use what you learned as you bargain shop online or at other stores. I’m happy to help if you want to spend a day with me. 😉

  2. love that blouse!
