Dressing for Your Body: Straight or Rectangle

Today, let’s look at the straight or rectangle body shape. I fall into this category. I lovingly call this the shape of an ironing board: flat.

A woman with a straight or rectangle shape has hips and chest that are proportional in size but does not have the definition in the waist area that other shapes have.

One good way to dress a straight or rectangle shape is to accentuate the waist with belts. I actually do this a lot, so (yay!) I’m doing this right. One thing that one website says to avoid is low rise jeans, which I do actually wear quite a bit. Do any of you wear low rise jeans despite being a straight or rectangle shape?

How do you dress your straight or rectangle body?
