Smart and Savvy Buy: The Basics

Oh, Sunday. Sometimes, you sneak up on me. Suddenly, my weekend is coming to a close. I still have laundry to do, blog posts to write. That’s what happened to me today. I’m a little sad the weekend is almost over. But I wanted to take a few minutes to share with you a recent smart and savvy buy.

There are some things in this world that I don’t mind spending money on: good coffee, ice cream, Coach. There are other things in this world that I despise spending money on. The basics fall into this category. Who wants to spend good money on a plain white tee? The thing is, it is absolutely worth the money you spend. You can do so much with the basics. Your options are endless. But really, white tee? You are really $18? Ahh. So cruel.

So here are two basic tees I found recently, one black and one white.

Basic tees: Cynthia Rowley found at T.J. Maxx for $9.99 each, compare at $18 each.

Have you found any smart and savvy buys lately?

P.S. I’m hosting a link up next Sunday, July 15th! The link up is called “I Believe,” and I invite you to share a few things you believe on your blog. Hint: It can be anything!

  • Do you secretly hate the blogger bun?
  • Do you judge books by their covers?
  • Do you believe manicures are the secret to world peace?
  • Do you wear pajama jeans around your house at night?

Join me on Sunday, July 15 for the link up. This link up is open to all bloggers. Just write your post, mention this link up, and head over here to add your URL to the link up! For glimpse at previous I Believe posts, click here.
