Style Tips: Wearing White

White is a hot summer color! And who doesn’t love white? {Ok, I’m sure there are some people out there who don’t love white, but I’m not one of them!}

But white can be difficult to wear! Yellowing color, stains, those pesky undergarments…

So this week, we’re going to look at a few easy tips for wearing white in the summer!

Tip #1: Update often.

If you caught my last smart and savvy buy, you know that I recently spent some money to update my basic tee collection. I bought a new black and a new white fitted tee. This is important because it keeps these pieces looking crisp and clean. Black has a tendency to fade {but that’s a discussion for a different post}, and white has a tendency to look yellow over time.

By updating often, you can ensure your white piece has a clean, crisp look that is sure to turn heads!

Pair a white tee with denim as I did above. Or choose brightly colored shorts and gladiator sandals for a day outdoors! Need to dress it up? A pencil skirt is always a good option! Still not sure? Try a denim vest, a polka dot or floral scarf, or a jaw-dropping statement necklace. Your options are endless. Just make sure your white piece is up to date!

Do you wear white in the summer?

Tip #1 is just the beginning! Come back Wednesday and Thursday for additional style tips for wearing white!
