Style Tips: Wearing White

Hello friends! Welcome {back} to SmartSavvyStyle! Yesterday, we looked at tip #1 for wearing white. Plus, I showed you a cute, casual outfit using a basic white tee!

Today, I’m ready to discuss tip #2. In fact, one reader hit on it in a comment in yesterday’s post.

See, here’s the thing. As a friend of mine put it, Murphy’s Law always applies when wearing white.

Stains are a problem!

Tip #2: Invest in a stain lifter.

I know this sounds more sensible than stylish, but this tip is so important! You must have a backup plan, ladies! Whether it’s an on-the-go stain remover or a miracle-working DIY detergent, wearing white requires dedication to a stain-free life.

For me, personally, white pants or skirts are always a challenge. I do a lot of sitting during the day (on my commute, at my desk, in front of my t.v., etc.), and you just never know what you might sit in. Not to mention what your lap may catch when eating your lunch!

They look pretty clean right now. We’ll see how they look at the end of the day. 🙂

So, I must know…

What are you favorite stain fighters?
How do you keep your whites spot-free?

What problems, other than stains, do you have styling white?

Today, I’m linking up with The Pleated Poppy for wiww {what i wore wednesday}! Visit her blog and see all the bloggers who have linked up with her. Lots of outfit inspiration on a day like today!
