What I Learned at Fashion’s Night Out in Chicago

Last Thursday was Fashion’s Night Out. Many Chicago shops hosted events, so I met two blogger friends, Molly from A Foreign Land and Erin from Loop Looks, at Macy’s on State for a little girl time.

Macy’s hosted a fashion show complete with local bloggers styling the models. Hallie from Corals and CognacsNikia from Chi Town Fashionista, and Shae from Vanilla Fringe all did an amazing job!

The outfit categories included natural beauty, style hunter, aristocratic, exotica, neo geo, and RSVP. Pieces ranged from peplum to blazers, from bold prints to fall colors, and from skinny jeans to sheer skirts. There was so much to see, so many beautiful pieces! But one thing’s for sure, all of the bloggers seemed to have a few themes that ran throughout the show. Here’s what I learned about #FNO Chicago.

1. Layer.

2. Mix it up.

3. Do the unexpected.

I was so excited Friday morning that I applied these rules when I got ready for the day!

Did you attend Fashion’s Night Out? What did you learn? Could you apply these rules?
